The Wallabies started their RWC campaign in traditional fashion. Thoroughly unconvincing. Although the full time score read 39-21, it wasn’t until the 61st minute the Wallabies took the lead for the first time in the match.
In a game characterised by handling errors and poor execution, it was good for both teams to blow out the cobwebs early.
Unfortunately for Fiji, this all but ends Fiji’s World Cup Final hopes. However there was enough flair and (some) good phase play to make Wales a little nervous. They won’t lose any sleep though.
I continue to be amazed at the number of handling errors. No team with this high an error count will win the World Cup.
